While Panasonic announced HDC-SDT750 with 3D recording in 2010, more models were released On January 5, 2011 at CES. The new models are Panasonic HDC-TM900, HDC-HS900, HDC-SD900 and HDC-SD800. The camcorders are quite similar to the 2010 models Panasonic HDC-TM700, HDC-HS700, HDC-SD700 and HDC-SD600, but the 2011 models was promoted with 3D shooting and more intelligent settings.
The 3D videos are recorded side-by-side with the 3D Conversion Lens for right and left images. You need eyewear and 3DTV to play and watch the 3D images when connected. The recording/playback mode for 3D video is stated in the specification as iFrame (28 Mbps/VBR), (960×540), which is half as the full HD 1920×1080.
Featured as the master-level of consumer camcorders, Panasonic HDC-TM900, HDC-HS900 and HDC-SD900 also include advanced 3MOS system to record perfect images even in dark scenes. It is said that the 900 series will reduce noise by about 45% compared to HDC-TM700, HDC-HS700 and HDC-SD700.
The new image stabilization system named HYBRID O.I.S is also equipped with the 2011 models, rather than the POWER O.I.S for TM700/SD700/HS700/SD600. TM900/SD900/HS900/SD800 with HYBRID O.I.S will help correct the hand-shake blurring and more vivid images than TM700/SD700/HS700/SD600.
